Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling - Christian Counseling (Online)

Grand Canyon University's Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an Emphasis in Christian Counseling degree program is an opportunity for counseling professionals to focus on a Christ-centered approach for helping patients with psychological, social, behavioral and emotional issues. You will learn to address abuse, addiction, marital and family issues, as well as respond to crises and trauma with values-based mental health services. This masters in Christian counseling program, within the College Humanities and Social Sciences, emphasizes the integration of Christian principles and Scripture with counseling best practices. By gaining the tools to assess, diagnose and treat mental/emotional health based on a Biblical foundation, you can follow your passion to help others from a spiritual perspective. Selected courses meet academic requirements set by the National Board for Certified Counselors for the National Certified Counselor credential (NCC), the Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor credential (CCMHC) and by Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Individuals interested in becoming a licensed counselor must have a masters degree in counseling.
